October Dawn

I didn't shoot in color until I made the transition -- kicking and screaming -- to digital photography. I did not process color in my darkroom, so the question was moot.

Digital changed all of that for me.

Light and color in New Mexico are extraordinary, unexpected, and unpredictable. Perhaps my basis for grasping the palette and luminosity of colors here was what I saw daily in Uganda:  were there really seven shades of green?

Or were there eight?
